“Go right into overdrive”

Hey everybody,

I’m going way off topic today. Sort of.

I had the opportunity to watch the Assassins Men’s Rugby Club play in the Division One Championships last weekend and I got some great shots of an awesome sport.

I put together a little photo essay for you all to enjoy:

If you are interested in getting involved with rugby, you should check out Rugby Manitoba’s website for more information. Not only do they handle the Senior Men’s league but there are also youth programs for a wide range of ages as well as Senior Women’s.

Also a BIG THANK YOU to the Assassins Men’s team and a special shout out to Brendan, Steve, Brett, and Adam for letting me name them in my captions. Congratulations guys!! Good luck next year!!

The Assassins are always looking for fresh blood on both the men’s and women’s side. Come check them out, they play down at Maple Grove Rugby Park.

Before I let you go, let me just tie it back in to books. Let me know in the comments what your favourite sports themed book is. It can be fiction or non-fiction, whatever you like.

One you might want to check out is:

Winger by Andrew Smith – Published May 14, 2013; 439 Pages.

I haven’t read it myself yet, but I’ve heard nothing but good things and it’s on theme! It’s about a rugby playing junior at boarding school. Give it a look:

You didn’t think you would get out of getting a book recommendation did you?

Silly readers, that’s how it works on Write in the feels with Steph. We’re all about them books.

Thanks for reading and as always, please read responsibly.

Cheers,

Stephanie
